What to Know About Repairing Flat Tires

A tire can go flat without warning. For instance, it could hit a piece of debris on a road or while backing out of a driveway. Without proper tire pressure, it will be difficult or impossible to operate your vehicle properly. Therefore, it is important that you know how to repair a flat tire.

The first step is to find the spare tire and the jack that will be used to elevate the vehicle. Be sure to put the jack on a flat ground so that the vehicle doesn't tip over. From there, you simply remove the lug nuts from the wheel and take it off of the car.

Finally, place the new tire on the vehicle and secure it in place. In some cases, it may be possible to repair the damaged tire, and this may be preferable to buying a brand new tire.
